Lough Gur Pottery
Lough Gur Pottery is an independent pottery studio based in County Limerick and run by Clair Jones. Clair has had a passion for both clay and painting all her life.
Although she initially pursued a career as a solicitor, the creative spark never extinguished and in 2018, Clair took the plunge to establish Lough Gur Pottery. Clair has lived beside magical Lough Gur in Limerick for over 25 years (where Ireland’s first Neolithic ancestors settled).
This is a truly unique place in the Irish cultural and historical landscape. Inhabited for over 6000 years, its renowned lake and surroundings have revealed many archaeological treasures including numerous pieces of pottery that have inspired Clair's own work.
In addition to selling her own line of pottery, Clair has been running pottery classes and workshops since 2018. She is particularly enthusiastic about helping people unearth their own unique creative spirit.
Pottery courses and workshops are available throughout the year.
Private groups also accommodated.
